What Is a Giclée Print?

The giclée printer sprays approximately 4 million droplets of ink per second onto archival canvas, or cotton fiber paper. The giclée printing process can produce up to 16 million colors, creating brilliant color saturation.

Creating the Print

Fine art print making is a collaborative process involving the artist and the printer. Film is developed from the painting and proofs are created that are approved by the artist. Once the colors are agreed upon, the process may begin.

My View on Giclée

I have been hesitant to create prints in the past, because of fear of over saturation. My feelings now are that I would like to create small editions using only the highest quality materials and technology available. I see other artists create editions of 5,000-10,000. That is not my goal; I want to create a means for almost anyone to own my art.

Hand Embellished

The first 15 or 30 prints of each edition are numbered using Roman Numerals, and the artist actually paints highlights on the canvas. Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

Regular Edition

Editions of 300 giclée prints, each of which is signed and numbered by the artist. The prints are progressively priced, meaning that the price will increase as each edition nears the end of availability. Purchase early and save.

Stretching the Canvas

The process in which the canvas is tightly stretched and stapled to a wooden frame. The piece is ready to be hung once stretched — framing is unnecessary. The cost of stretching varies with the size of the print, ranging from $30 to $100.

Credit Cards - Credit card transactions are handled by PayPal, the most trusted name in e-commerce. It's fast, it's easy, it's secure! (More information about PayPal.) A confirmation email from PayPal will be sent for every order.

Shipping - All orders are shipped via Fed Ex 3-day service. A $65 shipping fee will be added to orders that involve frames or canvas stretchers. A $35 shipping fee will be added to other orders.

Sales Tax - Texas residents will be charged an additional 8.25 % on each order for required state sales tax.

Questions - For more information about the paintings and purchases, please contact the artist before ordering.

Problems - Any problems with a print must be raised within 10 days of shipping for consideration of replacement or a refund.
